History
THE HISTORY OF NATURE’S GUIDE
Nature’s Guide was developed for the independent Garden Centers, Feed Stores, and Hardware Stores with one goal in mind. To provide them with the most complete line of quality organic products that would be available only through independent retailers.
The movement of organic products in the North Texas stated in 1989 when Howard Garrett began his radio program on WBAP Radio. The biggest problem at that time was inadequate labeling and no manufacture had a complete line of products. By the mid 1990’s organic sales were growing a rapid pace and more and more products were coming on the market. Some of them were very good quality and others were very marginal at best. Still nobody offered a complete line of products and request to manufactures were ignored. By the year 2000, many of the manufactures of the products that were successful decided it was time to start selling to the big boxes.
Nature’s Guide is born! The first thing we did was design a logo that would stand out on the shelf and packaging that would not confuse the consumer. Then we started working with our packers to develop the highest quality formulations and the largest family of organic products available. In 2003, Nature’s Guide was officially launched to the public with 31 different products; now to date Nature’s Guide has over 70 different products available. In addition, is committed to growing the line for years to come.
Things you will not get from Nature’s Guide are products in the big boxes, product labels that do not tell you what’s in them, blended products that make the same claim as pure products,
Nature’s Guide has more support for its dealers than any other product line on the market. The package includes but is not limited to 3% co-op dollars accrued on all purchase, dealer tag programs on Howard Garrett’s and Neil Sperry’s radio programs, co-op dealer listing on Howard Garrett’s web-site, representation at garden shows, product knowledge meetings, and a sales staff with over 17 years experience selling organic products.
